Pray
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
Romans 12:12
Praying for the persecuted is vital to helping the Church stand, as it calls upon God’s power to strengthen and sustain those facing trials for their faith. Through prayer, we join with them as members of Christ’s body, seeking His protection, provision, and boldness to advance the Gospel even in the face of opposition.
Prayer Points:
Strength and Perseverance: Pray for persecuted believers to remain steadfast in their faith, drawing strength and courage from the Lord to endure trials.
Protection and Safety: Ask God to shield them from harm, protect their families, and provide places of refuge in times of danger.
Provision of Needs: Pray for access to essential resources like food, shelter, and medical care, especially for those displaced or in extreme poverty.
Wisdom and Discernment: Ask for God’s guidance for persecuted Christians to know when to stand boldly and when to flee, and for wisdom in sharing the Gospel.
Faithfulness in Witness: Pray that their faith and testimony will inspire others to seek Christ and strengthen the global Church.
Forgiveness and Love: Ask for God’s grace to help them forgive their persecutors and reflect Christ’s love in difficult circumstances.
Government and Authorities: Pray for leaders and governments in oppressive regions to uphold justice and allow religious freedom.
Unity of the Global Church: Ask God to unite believers worldwide in prayer, support, and advocacy for the persecuted.
